Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the biggest killer in the world? Furthermore, Arkansas and surrounding states have the highest death rate from cardiovascular disease in the United States. We welcome you to explore the CB Lab at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Arkansas, where we aim to bring engineers and clinicians in Arkansas together to address serious conditions such as heart attack, stroke, blood loss, heart failure, congenital heart disease and venous insufficiency. Our lab creates novel approaches in preventing, diagnosing and treating different forms of cardiovascular disease. We also participate in exciting projects with industry in part of FDA approval of their medical devices.
