Coronary Bifurcation Stenting
In coronary artery disease, a significant amount of fatty plaques develop in the regions where vessels branch. These areas are challenging to treat with transcatheter methods, as coronary stents are often homogenous straight tubes. The coronary stent research team looks at computational ways of assessing blood flow in coronary bifurcations, and aims to design a novel coronary bifurcation stent.
